The Reserved Category Cell at CEC Jhanjeri serves as a vital support system for students from various reserved categories, ensuring equitable opportunities for all. With a dedicated team, it provides guidance, counselling, and assistance tailored to the specific needs of students belonging to SC/ST/OBC and other reserved categories.

The cell conducts workshops, seminars, and outreach programs to empower students and raise awareness about available resources and opportunities. Through advocacy and support, the Reserved Category Cell strives to bridge gaps and promote diversity, fostering a campus culture that celebrates equality and inclusivity.

Objectives

  • To promote inclusivity and diversity within the campus community
  • To provide support and resources for students belonging to reserved categories
  • To ensure equal opportunities for academic and extracurricular participation
  • To address the unique challenges and concerns faced by students from reserved categories
  • To organise awareness programs and workshops to educate the campus community about issues related to reserved categories
  • To facilitate mentorship and counselling services for students to help them navigate their academic and personal journeys

Responsibilities

  • Student Support: Providing support and guidance to students from reserved categories regarding academic, personal, and social matters
  • Advisory Role: Offering advice and assistance to students regarding academic planning, career opportunities, and personal development
  • Awareness Programs: Organising awareness programs, workshops, and seminars to educate the campus community about issues related to reserved categories
  • Policy Implementation: Ensuring the effective implementation of policies and initiatives to support students from reserved categories
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collecting data on the representation and experiences of students from reserved categories and using this information to inform decision-making and improve support services
  • Conflict Resolution: Providing a platform for resolving conflicts or addressing grievances related to discrimination, harassment, or other issues students from reserved categories face
