He received an award for Iconic Leadership 2022 in Best Campus Placement by the chief guest Shri Banwarilal Purohit, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab.

National Employability Award 2022

CEC Jhanjeri is pleased to announce that we have been awarded National Employability Award 2022. The award is given to the campuses for being amongst the top 10% engineering campuses at the national level or in their respective states. It is our pleasure to inform you that as per the AMCAT scores of your 2022 batch students, your institute has been chosen for the National Employability Award 2022.  

We are one of the 61 campuses who have been awarded with this unique award. The awards, started in 2012 by Aspiring Minds (now SHL), are the only awards given on the basis of actual performance of students on a standardized test and not on the basis of superficial factors like infrastructure, faculty, etc.

Award For Excellence in Agriculture Education 2021

Hard Work betrays none! In yet another remarkable achievement, the outstanding contribution made by Chandigarh Engineering College, Jhanjeri in the education sector has been accorded with “Excellence in Agriculture Education” by Sh. Faggan Singh Kulaste, Minister of Rural Development, and Minister of Steel along with Smt. Poonam Dhillon. In an exclusive event, the International Education Leadership Award 2021 ceremony was organized wherein one of our staff members received this prestigious recognition.

At the event, Zee Business and Aaj Tak International made their presence as the media and magazine partners, whereas Outlook and Medgate Today were the print media partners. Chandigarh Engineering College, Jhanjeri is one of the few colleges in North India to introduce Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Agriculture, wherein the course curriculum is being taught by highly educated and experienced professors and assistant professors. At the college, utmost preference is given in providing industrial visits and enriching practical exposure of the students on a regular basis.

Chandigarh Engineering College, Jhanjeri is one of the most reputed colleges in North India. More than five thousand students pass out from here and are absorbed in reputed organizations and at respectable positions. The award is a result of outstanding placement records that CEC Jhanjeri have achieved since inception, and a testament to the creativity, innovation and quality culture that the college has embedded in its education model.

Mr Sahil Kapoor, Associate Director, Marketing & Business Development received the prestigious award on the behalf of CEC Jhanjeri from Smt. Jaya Prada, Indian Actress and Politician, Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste, Union Minister of State for Steel & Rural Development, Government of India and Shri Adesh Gupta, Member of Bharatiya Janta Party and Former Mayor of North Delhi Municipal Corporation.

Best B- School in North India-2020

Chandigarh Engineering College, Jhanjeri has added another feather to its cap. Indian Education Excellence Awards-2020 were hosted by My Brand Better. The nominations were assessed on the basis of yearly performance, growth chart, outcome based education, qualitative placements and overall grooming of students. Out of several college nominations, Chandigarh Engineering College, Jhanjeri has been awarded as the Best B- School in North India on February 29, 2020. 

The award was presented by Mr. Shayam Jaju, Indian politician and Ms. Richa Vashishth, Member of Railway Advisory Committee, Government of India to Chandigarh Engineering College, Jhanjeri, which was received by Dr. Jaskiran Kaur, Principal Management. 

 

National Employability Award 2020

CEC Technical Campus, Jhanjeri won national Employability Award 2020 for being amongst the top 10% colleges in Punjab that excelled in AMCAT, This award is based on the performance of final year students in AMCAT 2020.

The National Employability Awards (or NEA) are a set of awards given out to top-performing colleges all over the country. The awards started in 2012 by Aspiring Minds, are the only awards given on the basis of the actual performance of students in a standardized test and not on the basis of superficial factors like infrastructure, faculty, etc. Through these awards, Aspiring Minds felicitates the colleges which are in the lead on the basis of scores of their final year students in AMCAT; India’s largest employability skills enhancement test.

Continuing the trend, Aspiring Minds has recently announced the list of colleges to be awarded the National Employability Award 2020. These colleges are getting the award for being among the top 10% engineering campuses nationally or in their respective state.

Award for Academic Excellence Presented by Hon’ble Chief Minister(Himachal Pradesh) in 2019

Another feather was added to the cap of Chandigarh Engineering College, Jhanjeri, when Himachal MahaSabha having more than two lakh members belonging to Himachal Pradesh honoured this college for its excellent overall contribution in the field of Technical Education. S.Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CEC received award for this achievement from Shri Jai Ram Thakur, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh during Annual Function of Himachal MahaSabha organised in Bhargava auditorium of PGI, Chandigarh. ShriAnurag Thakur, young MP from Hamirpur was the Guest of Honour. CEC Jhanjeri having about 20,000 students on the rolls of CEC campuses includes more than 2000 students from Himachal Pradesh. The college has been given this prestigious honour on account of its excellent performance in academics, sports, extra-curricular activities and a number of projects made by students which have won prizes at the level of IITs, PushpaGujral Science City & other prestigious institutions. The most important factor contributing to this achievement of CEC Jhanjeri is the record breaking placements of the students not only of its own colleges but also of a number of other colleges of Punjab & other states.

Most Innovative Engineering College-2019

One more glittering feather was added to the cap of Chandigarh Engineering College, Jhanjeri, when the college won award for being the “Most Innovative Group of Engineering Colleges in North India”. The award was given by Top Gallant Media during Iconic Education Summit & Awards 2019 organized at Hotel Novotel, Goa. Dr. Rajneesh Talwar, Principal CEC received this award from Shri Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, Former Cabinet Minister, Govt. of India & presently National Spokesperson of BJP, in the benign presence of Shri Sanjay Shamrao Dhotre (Hon’ble Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Govt. of India).  Giving details of this award, Dr. G. D. Bansal, Director General CEC said that Topgallant Media invited nominations from various Universities, Colleges, and Schools, Health care organizations like hospitals, doctors & business houses under different categories.

Chandigarh Engineering College, Jhanjeri won award for Best Institution for Placements in Punjab. The award was given to Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal – Hon’ble President CEC by Captain Amarinder Singh Chief Minister of Punjab. CEC Jhanjeri was facilitated for it’s achievements, dedication, ethics, innovation, contribution and excellence in the placements of it’s students.

While thanking the CM Captain Amarinder Singh at the moment Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CEC informed that CEC Jhanjeri gives top priority holistic development of the students which in turns helps it’s students in placements. It is a matter of pride that almost all the eligible students of institute are being placed in leading companies of India including Microsoft, Deloitte, SAP Lab, Sigma, HP, John Deere, IBM, Wipro etc. According to him more then 500 multinational companies visited and students were offered package of even 31 lakh.

Best Educational Institute in Punjab-2017

As a rare honor for it’s multifarious achievements, Chandigarh Engineering College, Jhanjeri, won award as the Best Educational Institute for Higher Studies in Punjab-2017. CEC Jhanjeri was selected for this award by Brand Icon for the International Excellence Awards given by them in various categories. The selection was made on the basis of excellent infrastructure, highly talented faculty, enviable results in academics, sports & other co-curricular activities and above all, the quality placements of the students. The awards were given by noted Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra during a glittering ceremony held at Hotel Holiday Inn, Goa. Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Shilpa Shetty said that recognition of our efforts, their appreciation by the society and finally winning an award are special moments in our life. She congratulated all the winners and urged them to continue with their excellent work for the farther betterment of the society.

Award for Quality Placements by ABP News

In view of excellent placements of it’s first two batches of MBA students, Chandigarh Engineering College, Jhanjeri, Mohali has been conferred “ Award for Quality in Placements” by ABP News. In a glittering ceremony held at Hotel Tajlands End, Mumbai, the awards for various categories were presented by Mr. Avinash Pandey, COO, ABP news. Some of the prominent persons present during the ceremony include Dr. David Richard Namwandi, Former Education Minister, Namibia, Prof. Michael Hodd, Vice Chancellor, Baze University, Dr. Christopher Hill, University of Nottingham, Malaysia Campus, Jamiu O. Busari, Maastricht University, Netherlands, Prof Zinyemba, Vice Chancellor Catholic University, Zimbabwe , Prof Y.K. Bhushan, Sr Advisor, IBS, Mumbai and many others.

Award for Best Placements in Punjab

In a befitting recognition of the enviable placements of it’s students, Chandigarh Engineering College, Jhanjeri has won an award for ‘Best Institution for Placements in Punjab’. The award was given to Dr. Rajneesh Talwar, Principal, CEC Jhanjeri by Shri Anil Shastri son of Late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri former Prime Minister of India. In a glittering ceremony of ‘National Education Excellence Awards, 2016’ organized by Praxis Media in New Delhi, CEC Jhanjeri was facilitated for it’s achievements, dedication, ethics, innovation, contribution and excellence in the placements of it’s students. The college has always put in the best efforts to make sure it’s students get the best of the jobs. it has been one of the biggest satisfactory factors for students here. These efforts of college has not gone unnoticed.

Leadership Award For Placements

Based on excellent number of placements, pay package and a strong industry interaction, Chandigarh Engineering College (CEC) Jhanjeri has been awarded the Leadership Award 2015. The Institute has been conferred this honor by DNA and Star of the Industry Group for their 7th Innovation B-School award ceremony at World Education Congress 2015. With this award, CEC Jhanjeri stands at par with to the prestigious institutes including IIM Shilong, ITFT New Delhi, GOA Institute of Management, Delhi Business School, FMS, Symbiosis Institute of Management, Dalmia School of Management, TAPMI Bangalore, Disaster Management Institute, Aditya Institute of Management and Nirma University, All these institutes have also been given awards during this function. Most Innovative Group of Colleges in Punjab

Chandigarh Engineering College, Jhanjeri honoured as the most innovative College in Punjab Shri Kalraj Mishra, Union Cabinet Minister of MSME gives the award.

In view of various innovative initiatives taken in the fields of academics, extra mural activities and placement of students, Chandigarh Engineering College (CEC), Jhanjeri, Mohali has been awarded as the most innovative Group of Colleges in Punjab. The award has been given by Shri Kalraj Mishra, Union Cabinet Minister of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Govt. of India, New Delhi during a well attended function by Dr.Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Principal of CEC Jhanjeri organized by Education Excellence Awards 2014.

The selection of CEC Jhanjeri for this award has been done on the basis of response of the opinion surveys conducted by One Planet Research for National Education Awards 2014. Some of the innovative ideas implemented by CEC, Jhanjeri in academics have resulted in it’s students capturing highest number of positions in the Merit Lists of PTU. Out of a total of 10 positions shared by more then 100 colleges in Punjab, third semester Computer Science Engineering students of CEC Jhanjeri have bagged 8 positions, clean sweeping first six positions of the University.

Best Maintained Campus in Punjab

Chandigarh Engineering College (CEC), Jhanjeri, known for possessing state-of-the-art infrastructure added one more feather to it’s cap when it was honoured with the first prize for the best maintained & the most green institute of the state by International Green Flag Organization (IGFO). The organization, an NGO, has taken up various social activities like planting trees for saving our environment, saving water, minimizing fuel consumption, reducing water, air & noise pollution etc. S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CEC received the coveted prize from Shri Anil Joshi, Cabinet Minister (Industry & Commerce, Tech. Edu. & Indl. Training), Govt. of Punjab in a well attended function at Panchkula.

Best Engineering College of Punjab

In recognition of their world class infrastructure, excellent faculty, unparallel academic results, appreciable achievements in sports & extracurricular activites and above all enviable placements, Chandigarh Engineering College (CEC), Jhanjeri, Mohali has been awarded as the “Best Emerging Engineering College of Punjab”. Established in 2012,the students of this college have created history by capturing highest number of positions in the Merit Lists of PTU. Apart from academics, the students have won a number of medals in various inter-college sports, athletic and cultural events organized by PTU & other leading colleges. The college is known for arranging conferences, workshops, seminars, expert talks, interactive sessions with experts from industry and activites to promote research & development.

Above all, the management of the college gives top priority to placements of students. As a result, last year all the students of the 2014 batch were placed before they passed out.In the batch passing out in July 2015 a large majority of students have already been placed & for the remaining few, a number of companies are already scheduled to carry out campus interviews so that every eligible student is placed before he passes out.
